Rules
RULES:
1. This division is open to amateurs only. Professionals are those persons who derive their livelihood from their skill.
2. All articles in this division MUST have been made by the exhibitor within the past three years.
3. Articles which have not received a 1st place premium in previous years at this fair may be entered for competition.
4. Exhibitors are limited to two entries in each list number.
5. All textiles will be judged by the following scorecard:
General appearance – 25%;
Designed color combination – 25%;
Workmanship – 30%
Neatness – 20%.
6. Entries in all classes must be finished articles and must be shown in clean, sanitary condition.
7. Framed articles should have back finished and equipped with hook or wire for hanging.
8. If there are 8 or more entries in any list category, that category will be divided into two or more groups of equal number, with no more than 8 entries in each group.
9. Team Quilt entries in Classes 4, 5, 6, 14 & 15 may be pieced by entrant & quilted by another person.
Premiums for all classes: 1st – $3.00 – 2nd – $2.00

CLASS 22 – QUILT BLOCKS
All blocks entered will be sewn into a quilt to be put on display at the 2025 Fair. Proceeds of auction of the quilt will be used to beautify, repair or remodel the quilting booth and the fair buildings.
1. Pattern provided by superintendents and may be picked up at the fair office after May 1st.
2. The completed block must measure 12.5 inches square. It will be sewn into 12 inch squares.
3. Confine the design to within the center 12 inches or smaller to allow for seams.
4. Any category of technique (patchwork, appliqué, etc.) is acceptable as long as it is attached so it will not come off and will lay flat for the finish quilting and can be quilted.
5. Do not make an on-point block.
6. Fabrics must be 100% cotton.
7. Do not quilt your block.
8. Do not finish the edge of your block by hemming zigzagging or bordering.
9. You may enter more than one block.
10. Do not sign your name on the block.
