West Liberty, IA- On Sunday, November 3rd at 5pm at the Muscatine County Fair Floral Hall the Wapsie 4-H Club met for their family night. That evening the club announced that they would be gifting $5,000 to the Event Center at the Muscatine County Fair.
“The Wapsie 4-H Club is excited to participate in the fundraising efforts for the new event center.” Said Jessica Madsen, Wapsie 4-H Club Leader. The club is also selling cookie mixes in a jar as a fundraiser that they do each year, with this year’s proceeds to go to the new event center.
The new event center will be the location for the static projects during the fair in July each year. It will also have meeting space in the new building for 4-H clubs, along with other clubs and organizations to utilize for meetings.
“I can’t thank the Wapsie 4-H Club enough for their support with this project. I think the kids are just as excited about the new event center as we are.” Said Kelsey Meyers, Muscatine County Fair Manager.
