WEST LIBERTY, IA- Hills Bank has pledged $5,000 to the Event Center at the Muscatine County Fair. 120 years ago, the Hills Savings Bank was founded by 19 local citizens with $10,000 among them and a shared goal to create a community bank that truly cares about the people it serves and provides ways to help them prosper. Today, Hills Bank spans 18 locations with more than 500 employees across three Eastern Iowa counties, yet their focus remains on serving those in their communities with the personal attention and care they deserve. They believe in fostering community growth through volunteerism, sponsorship, and involvement – particularly in schools and youth programs around Eastern Iowa.
Hills Bank has supported local 4-H groups and local county fairs for more than 50 years because they believe supporting our children helps give them the tools they need to become leaders in the community. They feel 4-H fosters hard work, knowledge and leadership skills and believe acknowledging and supporting the community’s youth through their efforts encourages them to continue to give back to their community and also motivates them to get others involved.
Hills Bank is proud to support 4-H and the Muscatine County Fair in their plans to provide a building for our local youth to continue to learn and grow into the future!
“This is another step forward,” said Muscatine County Fair Manager Kelsey Meyers. “Every dollar gets us closer to our ultimate goal of providing a state-of-the-art facility to host large events in our community and county. Thank you, Hills Bank for this gift and their year-over-year support.”
