WEST LIBERTY, IA- CBI Bank & Trust has donated $25,000 to the Event Center at the Muscatine County Fair, securing naming rights for the building’s entrance. Locally owned for more than 150 years, CBI Bank & Trust operates 24 locations, serving communities from Coralville, Washington and Kalona to Muscatine and the Quad Cities – extending north to Beloit and Roscoe in the Wisconsin/Illinois Stateline region and south to Galesburg to Peoria.
The bank has been a longstanding supporter of the Muscatine County Fair’s agricultural area, having contributed through the ribbon auction, premiere exhibitor contest, trophy sponsorships, and various financial donations over the years. CBI Bank & Trust believes the fair provides valuable opportunities for individuals in Muscatine County and surrounding counties to participate in a wide variety of activities, events, and shows that foster community pride and connection.
“As a community bank, CBI Bank & Trust is committed to supporting meaningful projects with both financial contributions and volunteerism,” said Nathan Meineke, Muscatine County Market President. “The Muscatine County Fair’s new Event Center is a great example of a project that will have a lasting impact on our community. We’re proud to support an initiative that promotes education and community engagement for years to come.”
“This is another step forward,” said Muscatine County Fair Manager Kelsey Meyers. “Every dollar gets us closer to our ultimate goal of providing a state-of-the-art facility to host large events in our community and county. Thank you, CBI Bank & Trust for this gift and their year-over-year support.”
Kelsey Meyers, said, “The event center is still on track for a completion deadline of January of 2026. At this point construction is going very well and the fair board remains to be on budget as well.”
