West Liberty, Iowa — February 5, 2026 — The Muscatine County Fair Kent Center, a nonprofit organization serving the community, celebrated an important milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, February 5, at 4:00 p.m. in West Liberty.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of the Kent Center,” said Jimmy Kent, President of KENT^® Nutrition. “Early last year, we were proud to help catalyze this project and bring the facility to life. The fairgrounds are a place where future leaders in agriculture create memories, gain experience, and develop lifelong skills. The new Kent Center is a meaningful investment in that tradition and in our community’s future.”

The event marked the official opening of the Kent Center and welcomed community members, supporters, local leaders, and members of the media. The ribbon-cutting symbolized the organization’s continued commitment to providing a space that supports community events, educational opportunities, and civic engagement throughout Muscatine County and the surrounding areas.

“The Kent Center represents an exciting new chapter for the Muscatine County Fair and for our entire community,” said Kelsey Meyers, Muscatine County Fair Manager. “This facility will allow us to host more year-round events and provide a welcoming space where families, organizations, and neighbors can come together.”

The Muscatine County Fair Kent Center operates as a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening community connections and supporting local programs and activities. Attendees had the opportunity to tour the new facility, meet organizers, and learn more about the Center’s mission and future plans.

Located in West Liberty, the Kent Center will serve as a hub for the Muscatine County Fair, family-friendly events, and a wide variety of community gatherings.
