Corteva Donates $5,000 to Support Kent Center Event Space at the Muscatine County Fair

WEST LIBERTY, IA — Corteva has contributed a $5,000 donation to support the development of the new Kent Center Event Space at the Muscatine County Fair, reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to enriching the lives of producers, consumers, and future generations.

Local Pioneer dealers—ASAP, Fargo Seeds, and 7C Seeds—highlighted Corteva’s mission and values, noting that the project strongly aligns with the company’s focus on progress, community investment, and creating opportunities for the next generation. “The event center fits right into that, as the event center shows the progress the fair is making and the dedication it has for future generations,” the dealers said.

Muscatine County Fair Manager Kelsey Meyers expressed gratitude for the continued partnership and support. “ASAP, Fargo Seeds, and 7C Seeds all support so much here at the fair, and I can’t thank them enough for continuing to invest in our biggest project to date,” Meyers said.

Significant transformation is already underway on the fairgrounds. The old activity center has been removed, new sidewalks have been poured, and work has begun on the parking lot. The state-of-the-art Kent Center Event Space remains on schedule for its first events in 2026.

The facility is slated to officially open on January 17, 2026, coinciding with the Blue-Ribbon Fundraiser. The event will be held inside the new center, with doors opening at 5 p.m. Tickets are available now for $30 in the fair office or $35 at the door. The evening will include a meal, program, live auction, and live music by Dirt Road Rockers.

Community members or organizations interested in donating to the project or sponsoring a specific area are encouraged to contact Fair Manager Kelsey Meyers at [email protected] or 319-627-2414.
